As I was putting my 6 year old daughter to bed tonight she told me she sometimes wonders if she is a primordial dwarf (I’ll explain in a minute about that). I asked her why she thought that. She said that sometimes when her father and I are in our room talking that she wonders if we are saying “Honey, we should tell her that she is a primordial dwarf” (only she said ‘dorf’ instead of dwarf
or “We should tell her that she is really 18 even though we only put 6 candles on her cake” (because of how PDs look much younger than they are). You can imagine how hard it was to keep from bursting into laughter. I explained to her that she was NOT a dwarf of any sort. I also asked her didn’t she think she would remember living more than six years if she was really eighteen? She said she guessed that she would.
All this comes from watching the TLC show “The Smallest People in the World” where they show several children who are primordial dwarfs. This is the most extreme case of dwarfism there is. They look like they are about 2-5 years old depending on how extreme it is.
Anyway, I really love the way children’s minds work. They definitely keep you entertained

I’m going to post some of the funny things my kids have said or done. I had posted these on another blog so I will just copy them here. They were posted about a year ago so the ages aren’t correct.
My 5yo dd (then age 4) often likes to tell us her “dreams”. The reason I put that in quotes is because I think 99% of the time these dreams are just from her imagination, so technically I guess they would be DAYdreams.
Her latest one was this: She dreamed I had a baby and it was a boy. We named him VICTORIA (!). I asked her why we named him that and she said, “Because we didn’t know he was a boy.” I said, “When did we find out he was a boy?” She said, “Oh, when he was about two or three.” And I asked her if we had put him in dresses all that time and she said yes. Then I asked her how we found out he was a boy and she said, “Someone told us.”

You might have had to be here and see her face for it to be truly funny. But, she cracks us up all the time.
I had to post another cute thing my 5yo said. When I went into their room to tell them goodnight, I picked her up and hugged her and exclaimed “Oh Lord, bless this little one!” She squeezed my neck and said “Oh Lord, bless this big one!”
I also remembered some things that 9yo dd has said in the past that we found cute. One daywhen she was about 6yo the phone rang and the answering machine picked up. She came to tell me that someone from the “hounty” jail had called.
One time we were sitting in the truck in Kroger’s parking lot. A security officer walked by and my 9yo asked me why they let girls be “social security officers”.
When my 9yo was 4yo, she was talking to her PaPa and said “I’m just joking, you thought I was for realling?”
Okay, that’s all for now

After reading Katie’s Blog about the differences between HomeschoolBlogger and WordPress, I decided to consolidate all my posts from other blogs and put them here. I haven’t written much in the past, mainly just about the funny things the kids have said or done, but I plan on trying to write more
